SmartBots (SmartBots2Life)

Second Life group direct invitation bots

Scheduled Instant Messages

August 2, 2011 by Glaznah Gassner

The new SmartBots feature allows sending the scheduled group IMs. They work similar to scheduled automatic notices: you specify the message text, delivery schedule – and your Second Life bot starts sending the messages automatically.

Flexible delivery time

Another update relates to IM/notice delivery time. You are not limited to 2 times per day anymore: now you can add as much delivery hours as you need (this relates both to new automatic IMs and group notices).

Trying automatic IMs

The scheduled IMs are available within the “Group Chat” SmartBots service. You can enable this service by logging to your account and clicking “add/remove services”. If you would like to try the new IMs for free, contact Glaznah Gassner in-world.

Chat now indicates the missing abilities

February 9, 2011 by Glaznah Gassner

Some of our customers were experiencing troubles kicking out the chat spammers, because there were no message to determine the missing “Eject” ability.

The diagnostic message has been added and now tells if your bot is unable to eject users from the group. Use your SL client to turn on the “Eject members from this group” ability.

P.S. Remember that ejected members fall into the Blacklist, and will never receive an invitation from SmartBots.

Assign moderator accounts to your group chat

August 20, 2010 by Glaznah Gassner

As you may already know, SmartBots allow you to participate in and control your group chat using web browser:

  • read and send group messages,
  • send warnings to group members,
  • eject spammers and abusers.

Now you can assign the chat moderators to monitor your Second Life group chat. Chat moderators are able to login to SmartBots account, look after the SL group chat and eject spammers. Read more here!

Minor updates to Group Chat control

May 26, 2010 by Glaznah Gassner

We’ve made several updates and fixes to group chat control:

  1. You can leave group chat open in the background window. It does not log out after inactivity period (this has been made because a lot of group owners want to keep chat open all the time, checking the messages from time to time).
  2. Message is being sent after pressing the “Enter” key :]
